Doosan's lift truck history
Initially the domestic lift truck marketplace in Korea was an open import enterprise. Korea Machinery Co. Ltd. begun in 1960, to import fully assembled lift trucks as part of a domestic machinery expansion venture. Sales of these products were initially targeted to state-run firms, large scale businesses, and the armed forces. This ultimately led to a merger with Daewoo Heavy Industries Ltd. In 1976, the Forklift Division commenced business operations throughout Korea to service and sell this heavy equipment. By 1978, a forklift manufacturing plant was successfully completed. Continuous technical training became the new focus for improving quality and product development.
The overall effectiveness of the propane forklift is remarkable. Since the propane cylinders could be changed in hardly any time, the machinery could be back on the job relatively fast in view of the fact that it experiences hardly any downtime. It is not like the electric lift truck where extra batteries must be bought to be utilized while the original battery can take up to 8 hours of cooling time plus 8 hours of charging time depending on the unit.
Safety
Since the fuel system of the propane forklift is sealed; it is far safer to work than other models of forklift. The fuel cylinders are sealed to ensure optimum safety and must adhere to strict national code specialization. Propane gas likewise operates with less energy compared to CNG gas, thus, if any accident happens, there is a system where the fuel is shut off. This significantly lessens the possible danger and destruction which can take place. Refilling options are also beneficial for the operator. If they would rather refuel elsewhere, the cylinders can be transported to a refilling centre. If the business chooses, the refilling can be done on site instead.
